Christianity is the overwhelmingly dominant religion in America. According to recent Gallup and Pew polls, roughly 77% of Americans self-identify as Christian. With that in mind, a map showing the most popular religion in each state across the U.S. would be pretty boring – Christianity would cover the map much like English would on a map showing the most popular language in the each state."
