Christmas, Easter, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur stricken from school calendar - Los Angeles Homeland Security | Examiner.com: "On November 11, 2014, Montgomery County, Maryland Board of Education voted 7-1 to strike the names of Christian and Jewish holidays from the 2015-2016 school calendar. Gone are Christmas, Easter, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. This decision was undertaken in response to a request from Muslim community leaders to give equal billing to the Muslim holy day of Eid al-Adha."
