Who was Dorcas in the Bible?

Who was Dorcas in the Bible?: " Dorcas, or Tabitha, in the Bible lived in the town of Joppa, a city on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. Dorcas was also called Tabitha—Dorcas is a Greek name meaning “gazelle,” and Tabitha is the Aramaic rendering of the same name. Dorcas, or Tabitha, was a charitable person who made things, especially clothing, for the needy in Joppa. The story of Dorcas in Acts 9 is notable because Peter raised her back to life after she had died."

What are the seven baptisms mentioned in the Bible, and what do they mean?

What are the seven baptisms mentioned in the Bible, and what do they mean?: "Historically, baptism has been used as a rite of initiation, showing the inductee’s entrance into a new belief or observance. Baptism in the church is also a token of the forgiveness of sins we experience at salvation—in much the same way that Pilate attempted to show his innocence by washing his hands with water (Matthew 27:24), Christians show they are cleansed by Christ when they are baptized by water."

Franklin Graham: A Mission of Compassion in Ferguson | Story | BGEA

Franklin Graham: A Mission of Compassion in Ferguson | Story | BGEA: "Incidents of racial tension are rising in the United States. When a race-infused conflict makes the news, many people find it all too easy to choose which side to blame and then, like an armchair quarterback, do nothing more. But doing nothing is not a biblical response. Racism is a sin that divides people. The Bible says that “God … has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:18, NKJV). The Bible commands Christians to take action: “Pursue the things which make for peace” (Romans 14:19)."

The heresy of worshiptainment | Mike Livingstone

The heresy of worshiptainment | Mike Livingstone: "The great heresy of the church today is that we think we’re in the entertainment business. A.W. Tozer believed this to be true back in the 1950s and 60s. Church members “want to be entertained while they are edified.” He said that in 1962. Tozer grieved, even then, that it was “scarcely possible in most places to get anyone to attend a meeting where the only attraction was God.”*"

Christianophobia in the US - Freedom Outpost

Christianophobia in the US - Freedom Outpost: "Christian, conservative, constitutional Americans, along with many Republicans and so-called "right wing" individuals, have been accused of Islamophobia, homophobia, and every phobia in between. The reason for this is the perception of the liberal, progressive, Democratic, left wing sect of America that speaking "truth" about Islam, homosexuality, and other issues indicates "hate" or "fear" against a group or groups of people. But, is it really Christian, conservative, constitutional Americans, many Republicans, and so-called "right wing" individuals who are the phobics"
