On The Box: "Jeremiah is often referred to as the "weeping prophet." His prophetic ministry to the nation of Judah spanned some forty years--from the reign of King Josiah (627 B.C.), beyond the time of the destruction of Jerusalem (586 B.C.). And during that four decades of heralding the words of the Lord, Jeremiah was heckled regularly and he did not see even one of his countrymen repent to God."

Atheist Central -- Ray Comfort's Blog
Atheist Central -- Ray Comfort's Blog: "Some atheists are getting a little nervous, because millions are going to see "180," think about their eternal destiny and what they believe about abortion, and do a 180. And we know what that means."

Servants of a New Covenant
Servants of a New Covenant: "“All things belong to us, and we are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.” Paul made that tremendous, seemingly unqualified promise to the Corinthians (1 Cor. 3:21–23). Christians are free. Yet there is a paradox that balances that truth."

On The Box: Garments of Grace: "Today's verse is such a wonderful testimony to the imputed righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Australian Anglican theologian, Graeme Goldsworthy, defines imputed righteousness this way:"

Liberty in Christ
Liberty in Christ: "It is crucial that you understand the nature of Christian liberty. As a Christian, you are not under law, but under grace (Rom. 6:14). Freedom from the law certainly does not mean that the principles of righteousness revealed in the Old Testament law are now nullified. It does not mean that the Ten Commandments have no application to your present life. It does not mean that you can subjugate God’s holy standards to personal preference. It obviously does not mean you are free from any moral requirements."

Things to remember in response to this question: “The 3 P’s”
1. Power- God is the Sovereign Creator
2. Patience- We learn in the OT that God is gracious, slow to anger and abundant in love!
3. Proportion- God’s judgments are in proportion to His revelation."

On The Box: Evangelist: God Does Not 'Need' You
On The Box: Evangelist: God Does Not 'Need' You: How often do we as Christians assert that the Word of God is powerful? Yet how often do we as Christians live as if it is not? How often do we as evangelists assert that the gospel is the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16)? Yet how often do we as evangelists conduct our evangelism efforts as if the gospel somehow needs our help--the help of our methodologies or, from time to time, what some might consider outright gimmickry?

On The Box: Tony's Reading List
On The Box: Tony's Reading List: What follows is a list of books I've read over the last year or so, and books that I recall reading through the course of my Christian life. The list is not exhaustive because the list includes only those books I've read, which I would then recommend to my brothers or sisters in Christ
