For the Jews I Became Jewish, Part 2
For the Jews I Became Jewish, Part 2: "When Paul wrote, “To the Jews I became as a Jew … to those who are under the Law, as under the Law” (1 Corinthians 9:20), he was not talking about accommodating the message. He was simply saying he would not jeopardize his ability to preach the message by unnecessarily offending people."

For the Jews I Became Jewish, Part 1
For the Jews I Became Jewish, Part 1: "As we noted in the last post, Paul was not advocating “contextualization” when he wrote to the Corinthians, “I have become all things to all men, that I may be all means save some.” He was calling for self-denial and sacrifice for the sake of reaching unbelievers with the gospel."

On The Box: "After the traitorous kiss of his betrayer, his false friend, the Son of Destruction (Matthew 26:47-50; John 17:12), Jesus was arrested and would soon begin His long walk to the cross. And that long walk began with not one, but six unlawful trials"

On The Box: Mars Hill Is More Greek Than Christian
It's seems anticlimactic, even redundant, to say, "This time Rob Bell and Mars Hill Church have gone too far." After all, Bell makes a habit of going too far--too far away from orthodoxy to be considered evangelical in any true sense of the word. But, if what has been reported on Twitter by Rob Bell's teaching pastor, Shane Hipps, is true, then maybe it's time to say just that. Rob Bell, Shane Hipps, and Mars Hill have gone too far.
