In Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley - In Touch - Feb. 26/27, 2011 - Christian Devotional: "I've heard every reason you can imagine for avoiding missionary service: "I haven't been to seminary." "I can't preach." "I'm too old." "My family won't go for it." On and on the list goes. Let me tell you that there are thousands of active missionaries who once thought that God couldn't use them either. I often have the privilege of hearing their stories of how the Lord turned resistance into enthusiasm."

On The Box: My Philosophy For A Gospel-Centered Life
On The Box: My Philosophy For A Gospel-Centered Life: "
My circumstances are God’s context for evangelism opportunities(Philippians 1:12-14).
Christ proclaimed is my joy (Philippians 1:15-18a)."

In Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley - In Touch - Jan. 11, 2012 - Christian Devotional: "There is a common misconception that believers should be perfect. Pretending to have our lives in order, many of us wear happy faces and speak words that sound acceptable. At times we’re ashamed to admit our shortcomings, as if they should not exist. Salvation through Jesus, however, doesn’t change the fact that sin is present in our life. When we’re born again, God forgives us and sees us as righteous. Yet our battle with sin continues till we arrive in heaven."

In Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley - In Touch - Feb. 24, 2011 - Christian Devotional: "Paul and Barnabas set the standard for the church's mission work when they obeyed God's call to go forth. The local body of believers—those left behind to share Christ with neighbors and friends—equipped the men for their journey. They did so for the same reasons that apply today:"

Food Czar Michelle Obama and choice
Without it being official, it appears
that Michelle Obama is the food Czar for the current administration.
She has worked over the past 3 years to control what we eat, by
taking vending machines out of schools and working to change many
other things that affect our choices of what we can and can't eat.
The latest thing is a deal with M&M Mars to get rid of king size
Snickers bars, to take away our freedom of choice on things that she
has decided are bad for us.
She apparently feels that we shouldn't
be allowed to make these tough decisions on our own about eating a
regular or king size snickers candy bar. We shouldn't have a choice
to do what we want to do with our own bodies when it comes to what
food we eat.
How can this be from the same people
that say that we must allow women have a choice to kill their baby if
they decide for some reason that they don't want it. Having the
choice of what to do with their body is the most important thing
there is to many liberals when it comes to having a choice in a
pregnancy, but not when it comes to how big of a candy bar they can
choose to eat.
Does this make any sense to anyone?
It certainly doesn't to me.
If we want to save America, we need to
vote this administration out of office before they can do any more
damage.

On The Box: Have You Left the Love You Had at First?
On The Box: Have You Left the Love You Had at First?: This morning I have a very important question for each of you—a question that also serves as the title of this morning’s message. Have you left the love you had at first?
JOHN MACARTHUR ON THE GIFT OF DISCERNMENT : Apprising Ministries
JOHN MACARTHUR ON THE GIFT OF DISCERNMENT : Apprising Ministries: discerning of spirits(v.10)—Satan is the great deceiver (John 8:44) and his demons counterfeit God’s message and work. Christians with the gift of discernment have the God-given ability to recognize lying spirits and to identify deceptive and erroneous doctrine (see Acts 17:11; 1 John 4:1)
