On The Box: Today’s Show Notes: Friday, 12th April 2013.: "Parents hope photo of fatal text serves as warning
(YAHOO NEWS) Alexander Heit’s final text cut off in mid-sentence. Before he could send it, police say the 22-year-old University of Northern Colorado student drifted into oncoming traffic, jerked the steering wheel and went off the road, rolling his car. Heit died shortly after the April 3 crash, but his parents and police are hoping the photo of the mundane text on his iPhone will serve as a stark reminder to drivers."

On The Box: Words of Comfort: The Root: ""Your priorities are so messed up Ray, I think without religion, world peace could be possible; wouldn't that be something?" Andrew Molina
They tried world peace without religion through atheistic communism. It resulted in the slaughter of an estimated 110,000,000 people. The North Korean regime is atheistic, and they are a continual threat to world peace, while religious extremists in the Middle East want to blow Israel off the map."

On The Box: Words of Comfort: The Greatest Deception.
On The Box: Words of Comfort: The Greatest Deception.: "The greatest deception to fall upon humanity isn't atheism, communism, universalism, asceticism, or pantheism. It is by far the deception of self-righteousness--the erroneous belief that man can earn immortality through religious works. Hundreds of millions are deceived by it. But God in His great kindness has provided something that will remove the blinders"

On The Box: Words of Comfort: Who Is He?
On The Box: Words of Comfort: Who Is He?: "Mormons say that He was Lucifer's brother. Jews say He was an imposter. Muslims say He was a prophet. Atheists say He didn't exist. Gandhi admired Him. Hitler hated Him. Jehovah's witnesses say that He was the Archangel Michael. The Bible says He was God in human form, the Christ, the Son of the Living God, that He is the only Door to everlasting life. Pontius Pilate didn't know what to do with Him, so he washed his hands of Him. Who is Jesus of Nazareth to you, and what are you going to do with Him?"

On The Box: Yesterday’s Show Notes: Monday, 8th April 2013.: "I know it is coming, and I do not fear it, because I believe there is nothing on the other side of death to fear . . . Still, illness led me resolutely toward the contemplation of death. That led me to the subject of evolution, that most consoling of all the sciences, and I became engulfed on my blog in unforeseen discussions about God, the afterlife, religion, theory of evolution, intelligent design, reincarnation, the nature of reality, what came before the big bang, what waits after the end, the nature of intelligence, the reality of the self, death, death, death."

Life Begins at Fertilization Says Kansas Legislature
Life Begins at Fertilization Says Kansas Legislature: "Right to life advocates are claiming another victory, this time in the state of Kansas. This past week Kansas House of Representatives voted 90-30 in favor of a bill to prohibit any public funding for abortions. The same measure passed the state Senate with a 28-10 vote earlier this year. The bill now goes to the desk of Governor Sam Brownback, a Republican who opposes abortion."

On The Box: Words of Comfort: Science?
On The Box: Words of Comfort: Science?: ""I'd love to see these creationists response when we do finally make some or other form of life. The day is coming.... science, you gotta love it."
All the combined brains of our most intelligent scientists haven't a clue how to even begin to make one grain of sand from nothing, let alone create the utter complexity of even one cell of organic life. It is comparatively simple to recreate something using God's existing materials, but we can't make simplest form of non-organic life from nothing. Such utter human powerlessness reveals the intellectual embarrassment of atheism."

U.S. Government: Evangelicals, Catholics & Ultra-Orthodox Jews Are Serious Threats to National Security - Patriot UpdatePatriot Update: "Ron Trowbridge, undersheriff of Prowers County Colorado, attended a training session in La Junta, Colorado which was hosted by the Colorado State Patrol (CSP) and funded by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The training was on sovereign citizens and Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs, but also on the agenda was the subject of Christians who believe the U.S. was founded on Godly principles and who interpret the Bible literally. This describes many in the sovereign citizen movement but it is also indicative of many mainstream right-of-center Americans."
