While each of these things can be a part of the Christian experience, they are not what “makes” a Christian. A Christian is a person who has, by faith, received and fully trusted in Jesus Christ as the only Savior (John 3:16; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8-9)."

With that in mind, a map showing the most popular religion in each state across the U.S. would be pretty boring – Christianity would cover the map much like English would on a map showing the most popular language in the each state."
