New Politically Correct Bible Translation Causes Stir With Conservative Christians | The Blaze: "NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP/The Blaze) — There‘s a new translation of the world’s most popular Bible: the New International Version, or NIV. It has been criticized by some conservatives who don’t like its use of gender-neutral language, arguing altering the text may affect its theological message."
Harvest Daily Devotion for 3/18/2011: "A Counterfeit Gospel"
Harvest Daily Devotion for 3/18/2011: "A Counterfeit Gospel": "I watched a very famous preacher being interviewed awhile ago on television. When the topic of sin came up, the preacher said, 'I never talk about sin. I never use the word 'sin,' because people already know they are sinners. I am not here to beat people down. I just want to lift them up.' However, I don't think that most people know they are sinners. And our job is not just to lift people up; it is to point them to Christ. So we have to use the word 'sin.'"
Letter from Prison | Bezeugen BLOG
Letter from Prison | Bezeugen BLOG: "We receive a number of letters from people especially those in our tract club. Few have been as touching as this letter that I received last week. Like much of Paul’s writings in the New Testament, you see, this letter was written from a prison cell. I was certainly surprised when a few months back a prisoner enrolled in our tract club. Atheist Central -- Ray Comfort's Blog
There are no rules with atheism. They have no pope to wave at them and tell them what to do. They don't have an Atheist Bible to instruct them, and so they don't even have a clear agenda as to what they are supposed to be doing.
Harvest Daily Devotion for 3/16/2011: "The Best of Times, the Worst of Times"
Harvest Daily Devotion for 3/16/2011: "The Best of Times, the Worst of Times"
Charles Dickens' novel, A Tale of Two Cities, opens with the words, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. . . . " That is how our world will be prior to the return of Jesus Christ: both the best and the worst will be happening at the same time. In the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares, Jesus paints a picture of the last days in which both God and the devil will be at work.
