Four Things We Won’t Need in Heaven (But Ought to Pursue Here on Earth) | Cold Case Christianity: "As a Christian, I have a reasonable expectation of Heaven, based on the clear teaching of Scripture and the logical consequence of God’s nature. I also anticipate a particular experience in Heaven based on the teaching of the Old and New Testament. I’m looking forward to what each of us will become when we are united with God. "

The Comfort Zone: Words of Comfort: Have you kept the 10?
The Comfort Zone: Words of Comfort: Have you kept the 10?: "Have you kept the Ten Commandments? This is what someone would be like if he kept the moral Law—he would always love God with “all of his heart, mind, soul, and strength,” and love his neighbor as much as he has loved himself. He has never made a god to suit himself (either with his hands or in his mind). He has always given God’s name reverence, kept the Sabbath holy, honored his parents implicitly, and never once has he been “angry without cause.” He has never hated anyone, had lust in his heart, or had illicit sex. He has never stolen even a paper clip or ballpoint pen, or told as much as a “white” lie, and not once desired anything that belongs to someone else. He is, and always has been “pure in heart,” perfect in thought, word, and deed."

What Will We Experience in Heaven? | Cold Case Christianity
What Will We Experience in Heaven? | Cold Case Christianity: "There are good reasons to believe we are more than simple material beings. If we are living souls (as described in Christian Scripture), there’s no reason to think our true immaterial nature will be limited by the fate of our physical bodies. Our expectations of justice, satisfaction and joy (given God’s holy and perfect nature) provide us with good reasons to expect a life beyond this one. If God has infinite power, it’s reasonable to believe He has the power to eliminate imperfection. God’s perfection must certainly characterize the nature of Heaven, and the Bible describes how each of us, when united with God, will be transformed and made complete, in spite of our present earthly imperfections"

The Comfort Zone: Words of Comfort: Elevator for Gays.
The Comfort Zone: Words of Comfort: Elevator for Gays.: "The elevator in a New York high-rise suddenly stopped on the 79th floor. You call the elevator company and describe the noises you heard. They soberly tell you to place a large notice on the doors saying: "Do not use this elevator! Any weight in it will immediately cause it to drop 79 floors. Repairmen are on their way." A few minutes later you return to see that someone has put a line through your wording and written, "This elevator is okay for gays to use.""
