On The Box

On The Box: "John 17, commonly referred to as "The High Priestly Prayer," can be rightly divided into three major parts. In verses 1-5, Jesus prays for Himself. In verses 6-19, Jesus prays for His closest earthly friends--the apostles. And in verses 20-26, Jesus prays for every person who would ever know Him as Lord and Savior. In this remarkable prayer, the Creator allows the pinnacle of His creation (mankind) to have a brief and poignant glimpse of direct communication within the Godhead, as the Son speaks to the Father."

Yes, a few vocal critics have replied with mocking or misrepresentation, as if to illustrate the validity of some of my central concerns."

Discover the Book, with Dr. John Barnett - Discover the Book - Aug. 26, 2009 - Christian Devotional: "Jesus asked His disciples to follow Him and fish for eternal souls at perhaps the loveliest spot on earth, a lake in a land called Galilee. The spot is a blue-green lake called the Sea of Galilee or Kinneret as the locals call it. The Sea of Galilee is an oval-shaped body of water about eight miles wide and thirteen miles long, and is nearly 700 feet below sea level."
