The Comfort Zone: Words of Comfort: H O P E: "The word “hope” in the English language has become a weak word, possibly because so often hope doesn’t deliver.  We “hope” the home team will score in the last minutes of the game, but the clock runs out and they lose.  We hope grandma will get better, and she doesn’t."
